A mini BMX biking champ is on a mission to follow in the footsteps of the world's best racing round Glasgow in the UCI Cycling World Championships.
There's no stopping this cycling success who, after watching UCI Cycling World Championships events on home soil, is on a mission to make it to the top when she grows up.Sandy,47, told Glasgow Live: "BMX racing can be a very dangerous sport but both our kids are just fearless with it."Nothing fazes her at all, she'll compete with girls who could be 11 or 12 years old, fall off her bike and get back on again.
The family's move to Bishopbriggs when the children were still small led to Jamie signing up for BMX lessons in nearby Cumbernauld. "We used to share updates of their biking on Facebook but we thought it might annoy family and friends, so we created a joint account for Jamie and Ellie, called Robertson Rascals," Sandy said."I think, particularly with Ellie's account, it raises awareness and hopefully shows more little girls that they can get into biking too."
