Festival-goers fear their August bank holiday plans will be cancelled
MugStock Festival, a non-profit, volunteer-led festival has called for a drive in ticket sales to ensure that the event goes ahead - with organisers setting a target of 600 new orders in the next seven days to ensure the festival proceeds as planned on the August bank holiday weekend.
Recent years have seen many losses across the independent festival scene with rising costs, uncertain ticket sales and a lack of grant funding, which is a reason why MugStock fans are desperate to keep their bank holiday plans intact.MugStock headliners include Idlewild, Beardyman, Utah Saints and Craig Charles, as well as, a packed programme of family friendly activities, independent food vendors and extraordinary occurrences.
"We can sense a genuine and growing buzz around the event, and know that for those who choose to join us by committing at this stage, it will be a choice well made. As a team of volunteers we have nothing to lose from being honest with our community, and only satisfaction to gain from getting it right.
