South Lanarkshire Council is highlighting a campaign which aims to offer help to locals during the Christmas period.

The local authority is reminding people who feel overwhelmed that there is help and support available through the council and NHS Lanarkshire’s ‘A collection of hints and tips for surviving the festive season has been put online, along with useful information and phone numbers for organisations that offer support for a range of issues.
As well as this, a section has been dedicated to money worries due to the cost-of-living crisis this year. Councillor Joe Fagan, leader of South Lanarkshire Council, said: “This time of year can bring its own pressures and whether this is adding to existing worries or creating new ones, it can feel overwhelming.
“The council and other organisations are well aware of this and ready to help. No one should feel that they have to deal with this on their own. If you need help, please do get in touch.”
