Man United were on course to continue their dismal start to the season but a late brace from Scott McTominay earned Erik ten Hag's side a vital win.
Bruno Fernandes gave a rousing speech to his Manchester United teammates at half-time during their dramatic 2-1 win over Brentford prior to the international break.
"Of course I enjoy it, it’s a privilege for me to be captain of the club, and, sometimes, I can understand that the moment is not the best," Fernandes told United's official website. "But you have to try to get the best out of your teammates. But Fernandes continued to put pressure on the Bees' defence with some dangerous balls into the box. And the Portuguese international was not the only one pushing his team forward, with experienced defender Jonny Evans also pivotal.
