The Stena Superfast VII sailing from from Belfast Harbour to Cairnryan was cancelled after the blaze
Black smoke was spotted in the Belfast skyline above the Stena Superfast VII at around 11.30am, reports Belfast Live.
Emergency crews were alerted and raced to the scene but the fire was extinguished by Stena Line crew members before they arrived. Top news stories today A Stena Line spokesperson said: “Stena Line can confirm that a small fire broke out in an emergency generator room onboard the Stena Superfast VII vessel this morning as it prepared to sail for the 11.30hrs crossing from Belfast Harbour to Cairnryan.
