Fire tears through residential home as emergency services rush to scene in early hours
Fire crews were called to a residential street after reports of a fire during the early hours of this morning.
Lancashire Fire and Rescue Service confirmed crews attended Bond Street in Blackpool following a 999 call at 1.44am on Wednesday . They included fire engines from Blackpool, South Shore, St Annes and Bispham along with the aerial ladder platform from Blackpool. On arrival, firefighters found a blaze involving a domestic property on the street. They used one jet and two breathing apparatus to extinguish the fire.No injuries were reported. Pictures sent to LancsLive showed the street blocked off at the junction Rawcliffe Street with a cordon also in place.
Fire crews remain at the scene to check temperature readings. Officers are also awaiting the arrival of the local authority building control. A fire service spokesperson told LancsLive: "At 01:44 on 31st May 2023, fire engines from Blackpool, South Shore, St Annes and Bispham along with the aerial ladder platform from Blackpool attended a fire involving a domestic property on Bond Street, Blackpool."Crews remain in attendance taking temperature readings and awaiting the arrival of local authority building control."
