Recruitment firm pulls job adverts for Qatar after Scot injured and colleague killed on oil rig
A recruitment firm has stopped hiring workers for jobs in Qatar after a Scot was injured and a colleague killed on a rig in the Middle Eastern country.
The company came in for heavy criticism over the adverts, with many people mistakenly believing the jobs being advertised were those of the workers involved in the incident. Robert Robson, of Tyne and Wear, was allegedly bludgeoned to death, and Christopher Begley, of Coatbridge, Lanarkshire, was allegedly attacked in the early hours of Monday and is now recovering at home.
