The Mar Hall Golf and Spa resort has been a favourite amongst celebrities since it first opened in 2004, however, the luxurious hotel has now entered administration.
The Mar Hall Golf and Spa resort, near Bishopton, has been a go-to for many of the biggest celebs in the world including Brad Pitt, Ed Sheeran and Harry Styles.Mar Hall was constructed in 1845 under the watchful eye of Lord Blantyre. The resort was previously known as Erskine Mansion and later became a hospital for limbless soldiers and sailors.Following a £15million re-fit it opened as a luxury hotel in 2004. A golf course later opened on site in 2010.
In a statement from the hotel they said: "On 22 August 2023, Andrew Dolliver, Kris Aspin and Joseph Luke Charleton, of EY-Parthenon’s Turnaround and Restructuring Strategy team were appointed as Joint Administrators of Mar Estates Limited, trading as Mar Hall Golf & Spa Resort ."The Resort continues to trade on a business-as-usual basis. Existing bookings and gift vouchers remain valid. Any customer queries should be directed to [email protected].
