This is the astonishing sight which met cops when they swooped on fields off a dirt track. Flytippers had dumped 200 tonnes of waste.

The discovery by Cheshire's Rural Crime team, who had been working with the Environment Agency was flytipping on an industrial scale on land between Macclesfield and Congleton.Police made the find at about 6.20pm last night and enquiries are continuing with the Environment Agency. PC Rob Stordy from the Rural Crime Team said: “Waste crime is just one of many crimes affecting our rural neighbours and the negative impact it has on the community should not be underestimated.
