A murder probe is underway after the body of a 41-year-old woman was discovered two days ago.
Forensic officers probing the murder of a woman in Ayr were seen removing bags of evidence - including a gold golf club - from a block of flats.
The block of flats and a neighbouring building remained sealed off on Wednesday afternoon. Detectives were seen removing bags of evidence from a ground floor flat which had the curtains closed.Azid, who lives across from the block of flats, told the Record: "Nobody heard anything. I woke up and saw police all over the street at 10am on Monday.Another neighbour who lives behind the block of flats said: "I didn't hear anything until I looked out the window and saw all the police.
“Officers are also working to find out the last time the deceased was seen and the circumstances leading up to her death. “It is important that we find out more about what has happened as soon as we can and I would like to reassure the community that officers are working to trace whoever is responsible.
