With Chapter 5 Season 2 launching, some Fortnite players are asking Epic to make a big change to mythics in the loot pool.
With Chapter 5 Season 2 bringing a whole host of new items, most players are eagerly blitzing through their Battle Passes. But some players, especially those grinding ranked, aren’t very happy about some of the new items, and are asking Epic Games to reconsider adding similar items in the future. In a post on Reddit from u/n0tsad2, they ask ‘Can we stop adding broken mythics to the game? Let alone ranked loot pool?’, arguing that Mythics are ruining the competitiveness of ranked.
It seems like while having rare and mythic items everywhere is great for pubs, it’s having a major effect on ranked games, where players are feeling like the mythics that are being added every season are making it harder to play properly. We can definitely understand this. If you’re trying hard to rank up, it can be incredibly frustrating to get repeatedly taken out by a brand-new, super-powerful item that everyone seemingly has access to.
