Whether it's karting, bowling, climbing or Nerf, these new indoor attractions are perfect for kids over the school holidays
There's no shortage of fun to be had in Manchester, but some recent additions to the family attractions circuit have made things even more exciting.
Then just last week, a new climbing and adventure centre Rock Up opened just across from The Trafford Centre at Chill Factore.Chaos Karts The UK's first live action video game karting experience, Chaos Karts combines real-life racing with augmented reality and makes it feel as if you're inside a game of Mario Kart.
The whole time you are racing you're collecting points and using your weapons to battle it out with your opponents, who in turn are launching their weapons right back at you. Nerf Action Xperience The 'family-friendly' experience is the first in the UK and is the only one in Europe. Upstairs is the Training Ground, where you get to hone your target skills on various games, including firing at plastic balls that are being held up by air jets being blasted underneath them.
It's currently opening on Friday evenings and at weekends but plans to open fully over seven days a week from October half term.King Pins The massive new bowling alley - billed as the ‘crown jewels of bowling’ - with ten pin, shuffleboard, and arcade games galore, opened its doors inside Trafford Palazzo back in July.
The state-of-the-art alley is spread over two floors, with the ten pin - featuring the UK’s first 26 metre long digital screen - shuffleboard, the batting cage, ice-free curling and arcade all located downstairs, while the duck bowling is upstairs alongside an area for American pool and the karaoke booths.
