Pictures shared by officers showed baby's clothes next to envelopes containing wads of notes
Wads of cash in envelopes totalling more than £150,000 were found stashed inside a baby's nursery by a fraudster selling fake clothes.
The discovery was made after North West Regional Organised Crime Unit officers executed warrant in Southport last Wednesday . It was as part of an investigation into online sellers of counterfeit clothing. They seized a total of £158,685 in cash - mostly hidden in a baby's nursery. Pictures shared by officers showed envelopes stuffed with notes next to baby's clothes.Posting a on Twitter, a spokesperson for North West Regional Organised Crime Unit said in their initial statement: "This morning, our NWPIPCU team, assisted by RART and fraud teams, executed a search warrant in Southport as part of investigation into online sellers of counterfeit clothing.
