The Diamomds skipper praised their second half showing against the Staggies in the extra-time Viaplay Cup defeat
Airdrie captain Adam Frizzell felt his side were going to sink Ross County in 90 minutes after their Viaplay Cup dream ended in a dramatic extra-time exit.
Momentum was with the Championship hosts but they couldn't find a fourth, and Malky Mackay's men eventually got the job done when Eamonn Brophy's 101st minute header earned a 4-3 win in extra-time."We were a wee bit shell-shocked at the start of the game after going 2-0 down, but once we settled I felt, for large periods, we were the better team on the ball.
"I thought we didn't quite get going again in extra-time. Their goal in extra-time kind of woke us up again - and it shouldn't really take something like that to do it."if we can get three points in the league next week, we'll be back on track. We will dust ourselves down."
