'It made me cross. Severn Trent are always going on about saving water'
A Nottingham woman was left frustrated after a burst water pipe created a "large" stream next to her home. Doris Brown, 80, who lives on Warren Avenue, Sherwood, woke up to water running into her garden after a water pipe broke on December 15.Ms Brown was angered by the wait for the "urgent" repairs and at the thought of water being wasted.
"People have been coming to look at this water - I think I ought to charge them. It was more than a stream, it was a large amount of water." "I understand that the freezing weather might have affected the pipes. But it seems so laid back when I thought it would be an urgent repair with it going all day and all night."
