But Silva believes Gerrard will be able to deal with any criticism he faces, describing pressure as a “privilege”.
“Of course as a manager, he has some experience as well in how to deal . All of us in this job know that you have to enjoy really, you know that people will highlight all the stuff in the tough moments. “All the other moments make you stronger for sure and make me better every single day and ease the pressure that I put on myself. We have to live with this pressure and this pressure that is normally behind us has to be a privilege.
Silva has endured difficult spells during his time in English football, suffering relegation with Hull and then losing his job at Everton in December 2019.“I had tough moments, but I have very good moments as well and I prefer to highlight the good moments that I had,” Silva said.
