Storm Babet has left many parts of the county underwater and the Met Office has forecast more rain for the coming days
Many roads remain closed today days after Storm Babet flooded parts of the county. A long list of roads remain shut off, although the severe flood warning in Retford was downgraded yesterday evening.
People in the area are being advised by Nottinghamshire Fire and Rescue Service to maintain "high levels of vigilance" and continue to check flood alerts for the area. The rest centre at Retford Leisure Centre remains open for those who need it. The flood warning for the River Idle at Retford, Eaton and Gamston, as well as the warning for West Retford and Ordsall, says that river levels are beginning to fall.
Little rain is forecast today but in several parts of Nottinghamshire heavy rain is forecast for almost all of tomorrow, meaning that the flood risk could remain. The rest of the week, from Wednesday onwards, looks dry though. This road closure information is from traffic management group Inrix
