Rest in peace, little man 💔
A fundraising page has been set up to raise money for the funeral of an eight-year-old boy who died after being struck by a van.
The child was then rushed to hospital, where he passed away a short time later. Bilsborough Hey has been described as a close-knit community, with many of its residents remembering Layton as a "lovely little boy" and a "cheeky rascal."Days after the incident, a Go Fund Me has been set up in Layton's name, in order to raise money to pay for the youngster's funeral.
So far, the page has raised £1,625 of its £3,000 goal. The description reads: "As many will [have] been shocked and saddened to have seen Layton was involved in a Tragic accident on Tuesday 1st August whilst playing out with his friends. Emergency services did everything they could, but sadly they couldn’t save him.
