It caused some confusion
A furniture store in Sherwood is staying open after a closing down announcement was posted on Facebook in error. The post on Facebook caused some to believe the store was closing, with some comments expressing their sadness.
The Nottingham Bed Centre, based at OPM House, Haydn Road in Sherwood is not closing down but is in fact having a clearance sale. The shop is selling current stock so that they can restock furniture. The Facebook post on the page Nottingham Bed Centre read: “Closing Down Bed Sale” in capital letters. The post went on to say: “Everything is half price and everything must go.”The shop is open every day from 11am to 4pm. The shop sells beds, mattresses and headboards.
The owner of the store confirmed to Nottinghamshire Live that the post was in fact made in error. Some people have expressed their sadness in the comments section of the Facebook post, believing that the shop was closing down. One person wrote “Very sad you are closing” whilst another person tagged someone they know writing “go Wednesday.” The Facebook post which was written two days ago remains up, the post had not been edited at the time of publication.
