Painting can be a fun, even calming, task that a whole family can get involved in, but it can also be a complete nightmare if luck isn't on your side.
However, as reported by the Mirror, there are other ways to paint that don't involve as much time and effort. For example, one DIY expert posting under the username @my_neutral_place showed how easy it is to use a piece of card instead of tape. While painting her skirting boards, Mel slid a piece of card underneath the wood so paint would catch onto the paper rather than her wooden floorboards.
Finally, she used a piece of card to paint a door's edge. Instead of using tape, she used the white card sheet as a border against the door frame so that she could paint it without worrying about getting splodges on the wall.
