A gang who stole an estimated £500,000 during a spate of cash machine raids in England and Wales have been jailed.
The force launched an investigation, named Operation Hades, in April 2022 following an attack at a store on Longshaw Street, Warrington. Detectives said the gang would drag out the cash machines before loading them on to the stolen vehicles. Members of the gang attempted to injure officers by throwing items such as a fire extinguisher and bricks out of the vehicles, police said.John Price was jailed for six years, while Lee Leatherbarrow was handed seven years and six months in prison
