Gareth Southgate explains why Jordan Henderson starts for England against Ukraine
Gareth Southgate said the reason Jordan Henderson starts for England in their latest Euro 2024 qualifier is that he 'looked no different' to before his Liverpool exit.
Over the summer the national team manager revealed he conversed with Henderson and admitted a the situation would need to be assessed once the Saudi Pro League season got underway. The former Reds captain was eventually selected for the England squad for the first time since his move and this afternoon was handed a start away to Ukraine in Group C of Euros qualifying.
