What a music video 🙌👏
DJ George Bowie has teamed up with Glaswegian country singer Kevin McGuire to release an official music video for their cover of Wagon Wheel with local line dancers featuring in the video.
The pair also performed a special one-month release Cash For Kids remix in December 2022 and because of this, the boys got together again to make a video for the country-dance smash to celebrate the main cover hitting 100k streams on Spotify alone with it having been played 250,000 times across all platforms.
“The Cash For Kids mix did well but this main version we did has really captured people’s imagination with 100,000 streams on Spotify and 250,000 across all platforms – so we thought let’s do a mad video that really shows off the whole fun vibe of the tune.” “George, his wife Ellene and Sparkos aka Marc, plus me and my manager John McLaughlin, plus Olivia Pink from Dirt Comms who works with both artists, were throwing loads of ideas around but there was one that kept cropping up as the only place to go – The Grand Ole Opry.
Thanking those involved George added: “The dancers were amazing – thank you to Maggie’s Line dancers from Bishopbriggs St Dominique Church, you were incredible and the dance routine was epic. Kevin then continued: “You wonder just how big this could get – we haven’t been pushing it and the numbers are crazy, so if this video goes wild it could get really massive.
