Cannabis could soon be legal in Germany.
Cannabis could soon be legal in Germany under plans by the federal government.
All ‘ongoing investigations and criminal proceedings’ related to cannabis use and supply would also be wiped, the Federal Ministry of Health added.Alongside cannabis, the proposals would permit tetrahydrocannabinol , a derivative of hemp, and roll out a ‘cannabis tax’. Lauterbach said the three-party coalition will have to ensure it is ‘internationally acceptable’ and ‘in line with international law’ to avoid any legal hold-ups.
Details such as whether people can also smoke, ingest or consume cannabis products need to be hashed out
