Sky News' Data and Forensics unit identified the Bibby Stockholm barge in Genoa Port in April and has tracked its journey using the distinctive shape of the vessel and marine tracking data.

A controversial floating barge set to house around 500 male asylum seekers is expected to arrive in the UK in the coming days.left Genoa Port in Italy on 19 April and is currently being towed off the north coast of Spain.

The Bibby Stockholm has travelled through the Balearic Sea and is currently on the northwest coast of Spain.Portland Port has said providing berthing space for the barge is"the right thing to do".
