The spectacle is all part of Newry, Mourne and Down District Council’s anticipated Giant Adventures series
Wake the Giant Festival is back for another year with giant Fionn mac Cumhaill ready to take centre stage at the Co Down celebrations.
Hailed to be the largest moving and speaking giant in the UK and Ireland, Fionn will disembark his sea vessel at Warrenpoint slipway at 2pm on Saturday. Newry, Mourne and Down District Council Chairperson, Councillor Valerie Harte said: "This brilliantly created and crafted event is the perfect way for families to spend their summer holidays in the Mourne Mountains and Ring of Gullion.
Visitors are invited to also follow the Giant Food Trail and embark on an extraordinary culinary journey that celebrates the gigantic flavours of Warrenpoint.
