The young girl, a pedestrian, was struck by the vehicle on Westburn Road at around 3.30pm on Wednesday. Three ambulances scrambled to the scene and she was rushed to hospital.
An 11-year-old schoolgirl was raced to hospital after being struck by a car in Cambuslang on Wednesday afternoon.
Emergency services including police, three ambulances and a trauma team descended on Westburn Road at around 3.30pm on August 23.A Scottish Ambulance Service spokesperson said: “We received a call at 15:31 on Wednesday 23 August 2023 to attend an incident on Westburn Road, Cambuslang."Three ambulances and one trauma team were dispatched to the scene, and one patient was transported to hospital.
A spokesperson for Police Scotland said: “We were called around 3.40pm on Wednesday, 23 August, to a report of a crash involving a car and a pedestrian on Westburn Road, Cambuslang.“The pedestrian, an 11-year-old girl, was taken to the Royal Hospital for sick Kids in Glasgow.”
