Girl, 9, dies after suspected stabbing
A nine-year-old girl has died after a suspected stabbing in a town centre.
Lincolnshire Police said a murder investigation had begun after the incident on Fountain Lane, Boston, at about 18:20 BST on Thursday. The force said the girl died from what is believed to be a stab wound. No further information about her death has yet been released.At the scene on Friday morning, a large area has been covered while police officers work to gather evidence.Image caption,The Conservative MP for Boston and Skegness, Matt Warman, said he had been in contact with the policing minister to ensure national assistance was available to the murder investigation.
