Hundreds of shoppers in Glasgow and beyond queued in the dark on Thursday morning for a chance to get their hands on the viral £1.99 Prime energy drink.
The isotonic sports drink, created by YouTube royalty KSI and Logan Paul, has seen people fighting over the bottles in shops across the UK, reports the Daily Record. The juice has constantly been sold out in places like Asda and various petrol stations - but Aldi has come to the rescue once again.Aldi announced on Wednesday that they would be getting the drink in stock for a limited time only, on an exclusive deal of £1.99 per bottle.
Stock of the drink sold out at other branches in Paisley, Govan Bellshill and Aberdeen. In a photo of a queue in Paisley, the poster wrote on Twitter: "Queue at Aldi Paisley @prime_tracker shop staff have us well organised." They later added: "3 bottles of Prime from Aldi Paisley. 1 happy kid. @prime_tracker. Can't praise the staff there enough, no hassle getting at all."Prime Energy is marketed as a low calorie hydration drink that contains no added sugar. It is mostly made up of water, coconut water, vitamins and minerals. It comes in a wide variety of flavours but is not a proper energy drink as it does not contain caffeine.
