Glasgow Loves Christmas has announced that the ballot, giving people the chance for free tickets to the George Square event will begin tomorrow, continuing until Sunday (October 22).
The ballot for this year's Glasgow Christmas lights switch-on will begin tomorrow, giving Glaswegians the chance to kick off the festive season with a bang.
This year’s event, hosted by Clyde 1 presenters George Bowie and Cassi Gillespie, will be packed full of festive fun, including live music, sing-alongs, a choir, and appearances by some of the cast of Pavilion Theatre pantomime Treasure Island.READ MORE: Must-see Clydebank Halloween extravaganza unveils this year's theme
The event kicks off the countdown to Christmas in Glasgow, with a series of traditional festivities to follow. Among the events are the Blessing of the Crib in George Square, the Style Mile Christmas Carnival and Baby’s First Christmas.
