Glasgow City Council have confirmed their plans for next week.
Glasgow City Council has issued an update to funeral services in the city, as several businesses close across the UK on the day of Queen Elizabeth II's funeral.
The National Association of Funeral Directors replied to this tweet, stating: "Some funerals will go ahead, others are moving to a different date - led by the needs and wishes of the bereaved families involved." And a third replied: "It’s because it has been declared a bank holiday, which staff are entitled to take. I don’t think that the ramifications of declaring a sudden bank holiday were thought through."
