Star Aesthetics has been recognised for its work ⭐

A Glasgow clinic who helps cancer and alopecia clients find "confidence" has been awarded at Scotland's Business Awards 2023.

The clinic on Maryhill Road, offers semi permanent makeup, scalp micropigmentation , microblading eyebrows and skin rejuvenation treatments - all issued by qualified aesthetician and owner, Liz Shearer.Liz, 47, who decided to open the clinic six years ago shared her business journey with Glasgow Live: "I set up Star Aesthetics six years ago after deciding to be brave and go out on my own and be my own boss.

Not long after launching her own clinic Liz was forced to remain shut due to Covid restrictions, and in fact was "stuck" in Thailand when lockdown hit the UK. The 1 to 1 microblading trainer offers specialist brow and scalp treatments for those suffering from hair loss due to cancer or alopecia, she said: "Honestly, it is the most rewarding part of my job. I get to be involved in their recovery journey and help restore their confidence and a little normality back into their life."
