SEPA had thousands of digital files stolen in the 2020 incident.
The council's response to a potential cyber-attack has been assessed in light of the huge hack on the Scottish Environmental Protection Agency .
An internal audit has checked out whether Glasgow City Council has "responded effectively to the learning actions outlined in the SEPA report, and that where gaps in control have been identified there are sufficient plans for their resolution."The audit findings said: "The council, primarily through its security action plan, has taken steps to implement the relevant lessons learned from the SEPA incident.
It was also advised that the data protection officer should find out "whether it is possible for the outputs from cyber incidents affecting the Scottish public sector, to be communicated with the council."
