The motion accused the current 'Westminster administration' of focusing on anti-trans and other such so-called 'culture war' activities.
A politician is calling for Glasgow City Council to fly Pride flags more often and protect "vulnerable" LGBTQ+ people as much as possible.
She is preparing to lodge a motion at a full council meeting tomorrow, which said that anti-LGBTQ+ sentiment is "resulting in increasing threats to trans and gender-nonconforming people." It continued: "The council recognises that such sentiment is resulting in increasing threats to trans and gender-nonconforming people, the establishment of a hostile environment to LGBTQ+ people, and to violence against trans people encouraged by this hostile environment, resulting in multiple deaths each year including suicides that are attributable to harassment, and are commemorated on Trans Day of Remembrance.
