The major M8 roadworks on the Woodside Viaduct slip road are now expected to be completed by late 2024, despite having a previous estimated end date of November 2023.
Major roadworks on Glasgow's M8 have been delayed once again and will not be complete until the end of 2024.
Amey, who are undertaking the project on behalf of Transport Scotland, said the delays are due to "bespoke propping designs and solutions" required for the works.A spokesperson for the firm said: "The M8 Woodside Viaducts are an essential part of the road network serving Glasgow and greater Scotland. These refurbishment works are vital, and with each support location varying in size and depth, bespoke propping designs and solutions are required.
"Installation of the propping will enable permanent repairs to be undertaken, the design of which is currently at a very early stage. An initial permanent repair trial will commence this summer, with information gathered informing subsequent works.
