Brian Emans, 42, was serving a 13 year sentence at HMP Shotts after he attacked a man with a machete and was found with a stash of weapons, including an IED, in 2020.
Brian Emans was serving a 13 year sentence at HMP Shotts when he passed away on Monday August 14, just two and a half years into his sentence.
After the assault was reported Police raided Emans' home, where he was carrying a Smith & Wesson revolver loaded with four bullets and a sawn-off shotgun was also found inside.
