Two young girls were approached by a stranger who tried to 'coerce them into speaking to him'.
Police are investigating after two young children were allegedly approached by a stranger in the Gilshochill area.
She said: "Last night at approximately 9.15pm, a male stranger approached my eight-year-old daughter and her friend. They were both playing inside the nursery grounds of Langa Street Nursery "Luckily my mum went into the street and witnessed this male stranger, she managed to get the kids to safety and he proceeded down Langa Street, into a lane that leads to Veila Street and onto the canal.
