Pensioners of a popular Glasgow charity recently enjoyed a free lunch at Celtic Park.
service users were treated to a three-course lunch with entertainm)Glasgow's Golden Generation , which works to reduce isolation in older adults and to relieve loneliness in the city, were treated to a three-course lunch with entertainment at the famous East End stadium.The festive programme is funded through SPFL Trust’s Festive Friends initiative.and entertainment, every attendee also received a gift bag full of useful items for the winter, including a heated blanket.
Richard Donald, chief executive officer of GGG, said:"We are hugely grateful to Celtic FC Foundation for all of their help and support this year. "The feedback we’ve had from our older adults and staff who accompanied them to Celtic Park was that it was a fantastic day out. Tony Hamilton, Celtic FC Foundation’s chief executive, added:"Against a backdrop of a current cost of living crisis, a phenomenal total of £385K was raised by our supporters for this year’s Christmas Appeal.
