Glasgow punter halts stuntman's street show after chasing him through spiked-hurdles
The clip, which was filmed on Tuesday, shows athlete Liam Collins undertaking his Stunt Runner act on Argyle Street in Glasgow. The impressive stuntman runs through flaming and spike-encircled hurdles while blindfolded in front of crowds.
But one spectator decided he'd have a go at the daring act and charged at the burning hoops behind Collins, crashing into the first gate with an enormous "clang" as shocked spectators gasp in horror.Security worker Fergus McWilliam, who filmed the video, told the Record: "Me and two of my colleagues had travelled from Edinburgh to Glasgow for a work event.
"We were getting a coffee and spotted the street performer beginning his act. Out of nowhere this absolute character started limbering up behind him and the next minute he chased the performer down the path.Top news stories today Fergus posted the clip on Twitter with the caption "People make Glasgow". The video has been viewed 330,000 times and attracted plenty of comments.
One viewer said: "Come on...that guy honestly thinks he's setting that up in Glasgow city centre and nothing is gonna happen?" Another said: "The noise at around 4-5 seconds where his head rattles off the top bar has me in tears."It is not known whether Liam Collins' equipment was damaged.
