A street in Glasgow has been locked down this evening and residents evacuated after the discovery of "potentially hazardous" substances inside a flat.Police are currently at the scene of the incident alongside other emergency services. Pictures from the scene show a bomb disposal unit in attendance.
Altyre Street, Dalness Street, Ard Street and Trainard Avenue remain closed as an investigation into the incident is underway.A spokesperson for Police Scotland wrote: "Police and emergency services are in attendance at a flat in Altyre Street, Shettleston, Glasgow, following the discovery of potentially hazardous substances within.
"Altyre Street, Dalness Street, Ard Street and Trainard Avenue have been closed, and local residents have been evacuated as a precaution."Members of the public are asked to avoid the area.
