'There are over 100 local families who wake up on Christmas Day with no food and no presents.'
However, as donations have slowed down this year, the shopping centre is looking for the"generosity of others, now more than ever."
Jade Wilkie, marketing manager at The Forge, said:"There are over 100 local, hardworking families who are going to wake up on Christmas morning with no food and no presents. To get involved, shoppers and visitors can visit the Giving Tree, at the Cineworld entrance of the shopping centre, and provide a gift card to help buy a child’s present and/or food shopping voucher in aid of With Kids Glasgow.Jade said:"It's nice to see at the end how many families you've helped.
"There's a special feeling to know that you are doing something, especially at this time of year, and that a kid's Christmas has been made. "People like to give a gift and that's understandable, but these kids don't get anything unless people donate vouchers." Jade added that The Forge wishes to thank those that have already donated and those that still plan to.In previous years, the campaign has helped over 1,630 families and 880 children, while in 2020 over £18,500 was raised.
