Train services from Glasgow to the capital will be severely disrupted next Monday, October 10, after RMT members of ScotRail rejected a new pay offer.
Only three services will run between the hours of 07:30am and 6:30pm. Glasgow to Lanark and Glasgow to Lanarkhall will operate a reduced service, as will Milngavie to Edinburgh, with two trains every hour. ScotRail will also be impacted by the walkout of Network Rail workers this weekend, with strikes taking place on Saturday October 8.
Phil Campbell, ScotRail Head of Customer Operations, said: "We’re really disappointed that the dispute with the RMT has reached this outcome, given the strength of the improved pay offer ScotRail made.
