Elizabeth Owens was walking home along Whitehill Street after picking up her daughter, Emma, from nursery when a dog attacked the three-year-old after the owner dropped its lead.
A Glasgow toddler was left with a bite mark on her side after she was attacked by a dog in the middle of the street.
The dog darted towards Elizabeth's three-year-old daughter and snapped at her side, knocking Emma over. The quick thinking mum managed to snatch the tot away as the animal attempted to go for her again.Once Elizabeth had lifted up her daughter she noticed the dog try to go for another girl before the owner got it under control
"I told her not to go near the dog. The woman dropped the lead, as she was picking up dog dirt, and turned her back. "My daughter was hysterical. All I was focused on was lifting her high enough to make sure it didn't go for her again.
