Glasgow locals can get cheap pints from this week
In good news for Glaswegians, the price of a pint is set to drop this week - however it's for a limited time only.
Popular pub Wetherspoons, which are dotted across the city, is set to sell beer for just £2.15 per pint this week across all of their 844 bars in the UK. From tomorrow until April 2, which falls on a Sunday, punters will be able to grab a pint for £2.15 from a selection of 30 ales with three international brewers and 24 ales new to Wetherspoon pubs. The cheaper pints comes as the company is set to bring back its popular Real Ale festival tomorrow with a range of seasonal ales available during the 12-day festival including vegan and gluten-free tipples.
Wetherspoon operations director, Martin Geoghegan said: "The festival is a great celebration of real ale. It will allow our pubs to showcase a selection of superb beers over a 12-day period, at great value-for-money prices. It will also give our customers the opportunity to enjoy a number of beers which have not previously been served in the pub, including those from overseas."
Despite prices varying depending on where you live, the average pint across all pubs is expected to be less than £3. It's also worth checking your local's menu before heading out.Sign up to Glasgow Live's newsletter Get all the latest Glasgow news and headlines sent straight to your inbox twice a day by signing up to our free newsletter.
