Pauline Smith, from Maryhill, described her 'suffering' as she claims to have been 'ignored' by Wheatley Homes Glasgow after reaching out for alternative accommodation.

A Glasgow woman who suffers from a debilitating condition claims to have been waiting three and a half years for appropriate housing.

The 60-year-old suffers from Charcot feet, which is a severe side effect of her type 2 diabetes, causing nerve damage and numbness - the foot can also become fragile to just walking or standing. However, Pauline currently resides in a 7th floor flat, with the building lift only going up to level 6 - meaning she "struggles" to make her way to her front door after climbing a full flight of stairs.
