A mum-of-three who was brutally murdered at the hands of her husband has today been described as a "much loved mother" and "popular" member of the community.
Maher was convicted of murder today after he attacked his wife of around 30 years in one of the most horrific ways - delivering at least 11 blows with a hammer.The High Court in Glasgow heard that Jeanna, 51, held down three different jobs to provide for her family while her layabout husband stayed at home. The popular mum was known as "Mrs Asda" for the amount of hours she put in at the branch in Bearsden.
