The Carrick rider missed out on a hat-trick after teammate and championship leader Tommy Bridewell hit back in race three
Glenn Irwin claimed an impressive double at Cadwell Park as he cut BeerMonster Ducati teammate Tommy Bridewell's lead at the top of the British Superbike Championship.
Seven-time North West 200 Superbike winner Irwin went into the weekend trailing Bridewell by 34 points, but now the lead stands at just 14.5. "The opportunities were there to do some passing I went through. I was watching my board a lot and knew Tommy would respond. "I knew it was him. When positions swapped he didn't defend, he went full gas and so did I. I lost the front end into the first chicane, the Gooseneck and left at The Mountain.
