Former Manchester United midfielder Fred looks to have confirmed Altay Bayindir’s transfer from Fenerbahce, insisting the goalkeeper is heading to a 'great team'.
Fred joined Fenerbahce in a €15m deal earlier this summer, making his debut against Samsunspor last week. The Brazilian may only have been teammates with Bayindir for a matter of weeks, but speaking during his delayed unveiling press conference, appeared to confirm the goalkeeper's imminent exit. United manager Erik ten Hag is keen to push forward for further signings, once Bayindir's arrival is confirmed. The Dutchman is weighing up short-term options to come in at left-back, following an injury to Luke Shaw.
