Darren Patterson gave up alcohol and party drugs over 10 years ago and was worried about attending the festival
A dad who attended Creamfields sober this weekend said it was a "surreal experience". Darren Patterson said he was sceptical about going to the electronic music festival 10 years after giving up alcohol and drugs.
He described the day as a “surreal” experience. Having been to many festivals and events where he was “off his head”, he said he had some reservations. He explained he felt “livelier” during his time at Creamfields sober and there wasn’t a moment where he was bored. Having been diagnosed with ADHD, he said that the “stimulation” he got from the loudspeakers gave him a “great sober buzz” and how he could really appreciate what was going on around him.
