A 19th century mansion which was converted into a museum and then a care home is up for rent - for a little over £9,000 a month.
It was then used as a museum for half a century before falling into a state of disrepair. In 1993, the Grade II was sold for just £1 to Abbeyfield Hyndburn Society and a major restoration project followed. The next year the ‘luxury’ care home opened was thanks to an £800,000 transformation and the hard work of trustees and volunteers.
